NVUSD > Irene Snow Elementary School

Irene Snow Elementary School is a Measure H-funded replacement campus for the existing campus on the same site. The campus consists of a new modular administration building, new multipurpose building, seven new classroom buildings and conversion of the existing multipurpose building (the only existing building to remain) into a new, modern library building. Since the campus replacement was triggered by recent earthquake fault studies, the new campus is constructed outside the zone of influence of any nearby fault lines. The seven new classroom buildings are perched on a sloping, stepped site and break out into 21 K-5 classrooms.

To construct a new campus on the existing site, VPCS gathered portable classroom buildings and created a temporary campus located on what would become the new playground. This is where students attended class during the yearlong construction process.
