CSU > East Bay Library Building

CORE is a new three-story, 100,000 square feet library building located at the northeast side of campus. The top floor will have a bridge that connects the upper and lower parts of campus and CORE will be the center for learning, collaboration, innovation and exploration. This facility is designed to LEED Gold standards and net zero energy. While VPCS managed the construction of the CORE facility, it also oversaw the Library Annex Seismic Upgrade project. The seismic retrofit scope of work includes installation of buckling restrained braced frames and column strengthening, collector reinforcement and foundation augmentation, and exterior and interior accessibility upgrades.
